Default what happened to the archives from the temp forum?

I was feeling nostalgic and went to read posts from the shaky summer of 2003... but they're gone!

Have they been gone a long time? I can't believe I didn't notice. I thought they were archived here... "back when life had meaning" or something.

EDIT: Woo! Cool post count!

Maybe they just got integrated into the rest of the forums?

"back when life had meaning" is from the Double Fine Action News

I think the archives were removed at *least* a year ago, though.

Wow, time flies.

(And now my post count isn't nearly as cool. )

So they're gone, then? Or are they hidden away somewhere?

Not that it really matters. I just want to read them, for some warped reason.

I pretty much do not want to read my posts from a 2 years ago, let alone 3-5 years ago. I'm scared I might come across a crapload of declarations I'll regret now.

When reading old posts, I mostly flinch at the bad grammar I used to have back when I registered in my first forum ever. That was...hmmm...ah, yes! In the fourth quarter of 2003.

Have you tried using the Internet Archive? Type in http://www.adventuregamers.com and it looks like you can still look through the temporary forums.

Here's what the forum looked like in August 2003.

Check DIS (erm) out - if you know what the thread IDs are, you don't even need archive.org for this temporary forum.

How about bribing the LucasForums types to make the actual threads visible again, but the forum itself hidden from the general populace of Star Wars fans and idiots (roughly equivilent, I know)? Pointless, but fun - you might as well preserve our collective embarrassing history FOREVER if it's possible!

Wait, I don't get it... they're still with LucasForums?

Can't you still see all the threads then?

Oho, awesome hax0ring. I don't know what you clicked, but that's exactly what I meant!

I only saw the "This forum will be closed soon" thread when I tried.

Thank you! That's what I wanted.

Apparently I didn't know how to use capital letters back then.

By default it only displays threads made in the last 30 days and threads that are stuck. It was just a matter of telling it to display all threads since "the beginning" from the pull down menu near the bottom of the page.

You know, I came out in one thread there, but then edited my post. Good times...
