Default The forum clock from outer space?

The forum clock doesn't seem to match the real time very well. For me it is four and a half hour wrong.

You probably already knew this, but I couldn't hold myself from reporting it.

its a good five hours off for me. Forum time: 11:31. My time (GMT) 16:31. Have I set something wrong?

I *have* set the timezone correct in the user cp.

The forum time now is 01:27 PM while real time is 05:55 PM.

Either vb3 or our server has a major time issue. If it's vb3, it'll be corrected by the final release hopefully. If it's the server, it probably won't get corrected til the next DST rollover.

Somebody fix the darn thing... it now says it is 11:08PM, but it is around 21:48 here... I can never fix that with timezones... they are mostly in half hours...

Why is this such a big problem? Don't you guys have clocks around you? Or even the little clock on your computer in the bottom right corner?

It does help if the times next to posts are real time and not AMT (Adventure Mean Time)

Well, you could always consider them relatively, with a little bit of Math. Now I look at the AMT clock, and, say I see, 5 PM. It's really 1 PM. And a post was made at 3 PM AMT, so I know it must've been made at 11 AM my time, or two hours ago. It's a piece of cake.

I also think that it's a bit annoying. One would think that it's not that hard to fix the bloody thing.

Yeah... could be, but I lack in calculation without calculator... and if the AMT just said 8:40PM it was actually 19:19 (7:19PM)... sow... If I substract 81 minutes from the post time I end up on the real time...

What does it matter, when where the posts posted, anyway?

It's often convenient to know how long ago things were posted. And besides, a working clock is just plain better than a broken one.

But it's also plain better to spend the time spent trying to fix it, in other ways

So the question is now what is plain best- working clock or free time.
