Default Does anybody ever rate any threads?

Perhaps I've missed riveting discussions on this subject, lol, sorry if that's the case. Only just now noticed that feature, and was wondering if anybody uses it, and if it's displayed anywhere?

What kind of criteria would be appropriate when rating the threads, anyways? Interesting content? Opinions you don't/do agree with? Cute-guy participation? *curious*

//edit: Of course I had to rate this thread excellent, btw!

We disabled the column that normally shows the thread rating. Apparently some element of it still exists somewhere. Where'd you find it?

The thread ratings are pretty much useless, unless you want to use it for some specific purpose... say, if we'd want user ratings for reader reviews, or hold a contest of some sort.

How do you rate threads? Is it supposed to be in thread tools or something?
Apologies for the noob question but...., well, I guess I'm a noob.

I always thought it would be a good idea to have something standard like this for the reader review board. I notice that quite a few reviews get no replies. A "rate this review" type poll that automatically appears at the start of any review thread (with option to turn it off if the reviewer doesn't want it) might give reviewers some more feedback.

EDIT:Beat me to it, Marek. At least my question wasn't so stupid. Still, I think the review rating system would be good though. I know I've read a lot of these reviews and had nothing more substantial to say than "Nice review" - generally not worth the post.

Ahaaa, that's why I haven't noticed it before then! *mystery solved* I'm on IE 5.1 in macintosh, first time since forever browsing from work, so.... LOL!

The feature is located underneath each topic. Right under the "Search this thread" feature, that I haven't noticed before either, lol!
