Default Forum time (AM/PM)

It's good that the forum time is now correct, but is it possible to customize the time format to turn off the AM/PM time format and use 24 hour format instead?
I personally hate the AM/PM time format.

That's great! One can never have too many forum jokes.

And I like the 24 hour system better also.
If I would become ruler of the whole world, the first thing I would do is scrap the AM/PM system and replace it with the 24 hour system!

But until I become ruler of the whole world we'll just have to live with AM/PM.

Marek, any chance of turning back time only there are a few things I'd like to have done differently? Or did Cher already ask and beat me to it?

I'm curious about all the people who complain about the clock though. Don't all Windows based systems also have the time on? Then there are clocks. Not to mention watches. And one can always ask somebody near if really desperate. Mobile phones have clocks too. Not to mention some cookers, microwaves, radios, hand-held games, etc, etc.

Actually, Marek, any chance of getting rid of the AG clock?

Curt, we are not talking about a clock that shows current time, but the timestamps attached to posts

This is a minor issue, but many forums allow for even a completely cutomized time format for each person. I just thought I'd ask if this has simply been disabled or the vBulletin just doesn't support it.

Personally I don't really mind the AM/PM part, I'm very happy that the clock shows the right time, but I was wondering this too... You can specify the exact notation like you can in PHP's date() function on some forums, but I guess not with this forums then.

Um, actually it is up to the forum administrator what time format to use and we very well do support 24 hour format if that is what the admin wants. You could even offer both with a little clever usage of custom profile fields and the phpinclude template..

Let's use universal time instead. Better yet, let's start using stardate format... captain's log, stardate 23239238429394832059829085392.3434ALFA42529342

The time/date is cool with me. I do'nt usually look at them ayways. In fact I really like the way they've set up the whole forum, it's perfect in every way.

/done kissing up to mods/admin team
