I haven't seen this word around, so it obviously doesn't exist and you've been dreaming....

Or you just made it up.

Discuss.

Are you serious, Marek?

Fine, I'll see if google knows the origin of the joke.

edit: Well, apparently it has been given a legitimate meaning, too.

This may interest you. On the page referencing it, Jarno Virtanen informs us that "I don't even know the origin of the term."

Interweb must be when you connect several webs into one huge web. I.e. combine www with some other web and you've got an interweb.

OK, this post, sadly, seems necessary, you incompetent fools.

The interweb (also known as TEH INTARWEB) is a term used to mock "lusers" either of the JeffK sort or of the two buttons is too confusing sort.

Apparently I'm the only one who noticed, but interweb has been a really hot thing to say on blogs for the past couple of months.

Oh, here we go: http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...m=teh+intarweb I must say that I do support the use of this word in a l33tsp34k context. But using it en plaine looks rather stupid.

Whenever yuo use it, you aer speaking 1337sp34k. There's no such thing as speaking it en plaine, unless yuor a lusser hwo dosn't noo bett4R.

Also "blogs" is a hot thing to say on the intarweb these days. It's called "log," "web log," "journal," "diary," and several other names... Why is it such a phenomenon now?

Web log

And interweb is just a stupid, jokey word people use, it's just internet and web as I'm sure you've all noticed. It's just a way of mocking internet n00bs.

I am almost positive the term originated from SomethingAwful.com

http://www.somethingawful.com/cliff/ihateyou/

I always figured Cliff Yablonski coined the term "interweb" simply because he was a stupid old madman.

I guess those damn indie rock bastard kids will get their hands on anything with the least amount of alternative flavor. smdfmsdfmonlinejournals.gdfkmgdf..

You'll probably find mentions of interweb occasionally on user friendly or something. Nobody invented it. Well, I did, but nobody believes me when I tell them.
