What happens to you when you get tired (as in a lack of sleep)?
I'm extremely tired right now since I just finished finals and am kind of going nuts because I haven't had a good night's sleep since last weekend. Thus, this thread. When I haven't had any sleep I usually am pretty punchy, but today, I'm kind of......out of it.

CRAP! Two of those options are the same! That's what happens when I'm TIRED, folks. Err........option two refers to the fact that you are peppier than normal and option 5 refers to the fact that you're normal. Thought I'd clarify, since I am a Man of Clarity (TM).

I get extremely hyper (and silly. Well, more silly than I am anyway). Though, if I get even more tired over time, my eyes begin to ache, and I get a little less hyper. Then, at one point (usually 4 o'clock in the morning, on a normal day, like New Year-New Year's day), suddenly all tiredness vanishes, and I am extremely relaxed, and awake. This last phenomenon does not seem limited to me - all people on that New Year's celebration (that is, all kids, including me) were absolutely awake after 4 o'clock, and not tired at all.

After doing excercise I just collapse, but if I don't want to sleep I feel normal. But of course, after that I sleep way more than the normal.

I laugh a lot, at stupid things. Once my friend came into my room and shouted "Hey!" and then stubbed his pinky toe on the door. That had me rolling on the floor laughing with tears in my eyes. I'm only like that if I'm tired due to the lack of sleep.
If I'm tired because I've been working so hard, I usually just collapse on the floor. |

My first stage of being tired I get cranky. Then if I get past that I get silly, then after that I'm nearly comatose - nothing sinks in, and I'm kinda "duh!"

Phew, and there was me thinking it was only me that gets silly - because my medication starts to wear off, would have been my first guess, then. -

For me, being very tired feels very similar to being drunk. Which doesn't actually tell you what I'm like, but you can at least make an assumption.

It depends on whether I'm tired from not sleeping enough, or from not sleeping at all. The first one I ramble even more than I do normally and the second one I have to be doing something or I just collapse.
Once I didn't sleep two nights in a row... and then I played monopoly. That was fun. Also, I cannot read when I haven't slept. I nod off instantly. One evening I was trying to write a report for university after having worked all night on the actual assignment and next thing I know I wake up 7am on my bed with my clothes on. Must've rolled out of my desk chair right onto my bed, or something... |

I act pretty normal. I don't get much sleep anyway because sleep is for chumps.

I think I am just normal when I am tired, except I am even more mellow than I am normally. Say I'm in a conversation, I just listen (and I really listen, not just nod) instead of also talking.

I either:
a) fall off or b) become stranger than usual , which believe me, is saying something or c) continue to do what I am doing until my head starts to nod. Yes that's right. I stare at my PC screen for hours into my tiredness, finding the attraction of my PC is just too much and cannot pull myself away.

Back in the day, I would fall asleep at the computer and put myself to bed. I would wake up in the morning, lights off, computer monitor shut off, and with absolutely no memory of going to bed. The only way I'd know is when I turned on the monitor and saw all my AIM conversations still up on the screen with people asking me where the hell I was.

I swing between depression and hyperactivity, the latter keeping me awake whilst the former reminds me how much I'd like to stop working and go sleep.

When I'm very tired I actually power nap if I can't go to bed. It's amazing how easily a 15 minute nap can turn into an hour....
