Looks like it could be good, as long as it's not just a big disaster movie. That last fading shot of New York was crazy...

I think it's going to be like The Poseidon Adventure, except a big city instead of a ship, and probably going to be stupid, instead of good.

The guys who made this also made 'The Patriot'. I wonder if anyone's going to get impaled with the American flag in this one.

I don't know, I feel like I have seen enough disaster movies to last me a lifetime. So I'm not that excited. Although I am looking forward to Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World. Patrick O’Brians books was on my "to read list", but now I will probably just see the movie.

Don't think it looks to much like a disaster movie to me. Looks more like a post-apoc flick. Mad Max with Snowmobiles.

Wow!!! This is a movie I'm really looking forward to. Seems much better then Gladiator which I found very disapointing.

When I saw the trailer in the theatre ("THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW" *fade* "MEMORIAL DAY" *fade* "FROM THE MAKERS OF INDEPENDENCE DAY") I didn't actually know which was the title and which was the release date.

First of all I thought that Gladiator was a great movie. An epic tale...

But this movie seems very interesting. Peter O'Toole, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Eric Bana... VERY interesting indeed.

Don't like Brad Pitt so much but I guess he could be ok.

Gladiator was suppose to be an epic tale about honour and heros and all that (in other words: my type of movie). But it failed miserably at what it tried to acomplish. I didn't feel anything for the "hero" what so ever. He just went around mumbling "my name is gladiator". In the end I couldn't care less about him, a shame really. I still enjoyed the movie very much though but I'm allowed to (as I said it's exactly what I like). But I don't understand why almost everybody else thinks it's a masterpiece. Haven't people seen Braveheart?

But now I'm hoping Master and Commander (I hope Russel Crowe is better in that) and Troya will be movies worthy the stories they are trying to tell. Fingers crossed.

Hehe. You know it's sad it can't have the word Iliad in it's title, seeing as thats the work it is based on. Though I suppose it s better than them dumbing down and doing what they did with romeo and juliet - adding "William Shakespear's..." to it. Homer's Iliad would probably confuse lots of people and make them think it's a Simpson's film

Gladiator is incredibly overrated. It's a great entertainment flick, a fun action movie, but it's by NO means a timeless classic of any kind or a great film. I know the Academy is often full of crap anyway, but Gladiator winning Best Film?! Give me a break! And its biggest competitor was Crouching Tiger Winning Dragon?! Give me another break! I can't believe those two movies were the biggest contenders in a year when Almost Famous was released and not even nominated for Best Film. Unbelievable.

I'm looking forward to Alien vs Predator. Hope it's better than the original X-Box vs Gamecube vs PS2. The fans were rabid over that one.

Well, Braveheart was a great movie too, actually better than Gladiator.

I was quite amazed when I saw it for the first time, I was like 13 at the time. The dialogue was interesting, from what I remember. (Last time I propably saw this movie was 1998-99)
