While I agree that reality is a group of mutually agreed upon perceptions, I got tired of defending my stance with epistemologists ostensibly preaching philosophy (theirs). Nihilism is a philosophical wasteland, and who cares anyway?

Nihilists were "in" during Dostoyevski. I rember thinking how cool they were when they showed up in some of his novels. They were the rebellious youth of the day. But that's so 2 centuries ago.

Punk rock is the movement of this generation.

My guess, that it was either an art direction, or some philosophical position, was correct.

If with nihilism you mean believing nothing has a meaning, then I'm one. But it sure as hell doesn't depress me.

Less meaning, more freedom.

It's just a matter of perspective, I guess. My life is pleasantly spiced up with a pinch of artificial/subjective meaning.
