Default New Hithhiker's radio shows

http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/news/cult/.../04/7768.shtml

The BBC is adapting the last three HHG books to radio, with basically the whole original main cast returning.

Wow! This is pretty exciting! What with this and the movie, there's a lot for Hitchhiker fans to look forward to.

I hope they air it in Norway.... They did the original show years ago, and that was the only time I heard it. Great news, anyway.

You'll be able to hear it on the intarweb, at least...

Shame the 'voice of the book', Peter Jones, won't be returning, since he's a bit dead. It's also a bit of a shame the BBC Radiophonic Workshop doesn't exist any more - I thought their music and sound effects were a big part of the original series.

Good news anyway! (Unlike the movie )

Well, the theme will probably return, since it was an Eagles song and not a custom composition

And Garyos... you can get the original shows on CD from the BBC now.

I can rent it at the library if I ever get an urge to listen to it again, Tabs.

I miss Douglas Adams. The world needs more people like him.

How are they going to miss all the deadlines when there is no Douglas Adams any more?

Anyway, I don't know if I'm all that positive with this, it can be a bit of an anti-climax. Besides, the book doesn't follow the radio-show, so it seem to be a bit strange to make radioshows from the books anyway. Anyone knows who will write the script?

You can listen to BBC Radio 4 over the net, so you don't need to wait until they air it in Norwegian radio.
