Default Get Smart movie... again.
Hey, I stumbled across this today while looking to see if Get Smart was ever coming out on DVD (it is, towards the end of the year!):

Mel Brooks is one of the writers, and although I didn't realize it until about 5 minutes ago he was also the creator of the series. I guess in thinking about it, it makes sense. Just never occurred to me

Also, Steve Carell seems like a pretty good choice as Maxwell Smart. I've only seen one or two of his film appearences, but when he was on the Daily Show he had that same Don Adams-esque attitude.

Brilliant! I think this could be good, especially with Mel Brooks involved. And Steve Carrell was one of my favorites from the Daily Show.

Great news! (We'll pretend the last movie never happened. )

I'd never heard of Steve Carell, but there's definitely some Maxwell Smart in that video clip.
