Well, here you go Marian. These were taken during the last flood we had in Autumn. I think the sunlight really sets off the colours of the trees. Sorry, they're a bit big.

Tbh even though I have lived in York my whole life, this is the first time I have really taken any photos of it. Its such a beautiful city and I will miss it when I eventually move away, due to rising house prices

Elton, thank you so much for taking the time to post these pictures---they are wonderful! I was fortunate enough to get to go to London-Stratford on Avon-Oxford years ago, but have never had the chance to go up north and would love to do so someday.

York calls to mind all sorts of marvelous associations---including Shakespeare--"now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of York."

I'm really sorry to hear that housing prices are rising and you are going to have to move away.

Thanks again for sharing with me your window onto your part of the world---it's just beautiful.
