Default Retro Revival Mania?

Lately there has been a tendency to "revive" old toons from the 80's...

We already have a new Ninja Turtles show, new HE-Man, Transformers, and now.... My Little Pony is back?

What will be next the "New Get-a-long Gang"? "Voltron 2004"? "The Return Of Duckula"?

I wouldn't mind if they brought back GI JOE or The Garbabe Pail Kids though...

There is also been a tendency in retro gaming revival, thanks to Digital Eclipse, we have so many retro collections you won't need your old Atari no more...

Has anybody noticed anymore retro revivals stuff lately?

I think the new series are not as good as the old ones...

But this is just something that these days people just don't seem to have new fresh ideas, so they have to dig up old series and make them "new" series again.

BTW, GI Joe is coming back eventually, I heard that a GI Joe movie is in production.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is pretty good, and X-Men Evolution was totally better than X-Men. Or, so I'm told, anyway.

The good thing about remakes is that they try to appeal to the people who watched the originals, which means the writing is maybe a little better and each episode isn't a clone of the last with a different bad guy.

They brought back another Ghostbusters cartoon last year. (or the year before).

Voltron already made a CG-animated return a year or so ago, so that's been done sorry.

Thundercats 2010 is where its at.

OMG! Strawberry Shortcake is back too?
(Why do I notice this kind of stuff?)

Woah, it seems there are reviving everything except the kitchen sink...

Expect Flip The Frog VS Betty Boop any day... Or Batfink Vs. Tomfoolery...

Or Super Chicken Vs. Roger Ramjet.....

(Stop me when I mention one you don't know, or I'll never stop!)

I still have my My Little Pony bed linen from the 80's.

(Intrepid, not a word.)
