Old screenshot of AG site
Hello all,
Very long time no see... I found the CD my University dissertation was on yesterday, and some of it contained a discussion on usability of user interfaces in web design. Lo and behold, here's a screenshot I took of the AG homepage back in April 2001... Great days, great days...

Wow, the site's certainly come a long way since then. I have to be honest i prefer the site the way it is now.

That was pretty interesting to look at, I wonder at how many of the earlier posters are still around today.

Aww, I wish I had been in the picture. lol When I try to view the 2nd group photo, I can only see the top of it, just to let you know.
But it's amazing how different it was back then.

Viewing the pictures made me enable the popup-blocker. (But I see the whole pictures without problem, so the problem must be on your end, Fantasy.)

There are a few older screenies in Marek's site history, though burns flippers' is from the era when the site started its proper journey to where we are now.

I would also like to have been in the second picture. I came here in 2005, after having lurked here for about a year or so. Are there still group pictures done?

It's mildly disturbing to think how long I've been visiting this site. I've got fond memories of sitting in a 9th grade computer lab class in high school refreshing the site for Ray's GK3 review on launch day. Good times! I always loved the dark green colour scheme on the previous site too...

Why is it disturbing that you visited this site for so long? You obviously feel at home here.

Oh, it's got nothing to do with the site itself. I love Adventure Gamers. That's not the disturbing part. It just makes me feel slightly old for visiting here so long. Ten years? Eeeeep.

I've been visiting Slashdot for more than ten years. That site is so crowded you don't really get to know people there. That's what I like about this site: it's a small group that keeps coming back. Of course the site's owners would like to see people flocking here, but alas, you can't force them, fortunately .
