Default I felt like starting a Sam & Max thread

We could also continue in the great tradition of off-topic abbreviations, but that would just be wrong.

I must get around to playing the rest of the first game sometime. I got a bit stuck at one point and I didn't want to resort to a walkthrough so I left it alone for a while and I haven't played it since.

So many games, so little time...

The first Sam & Max does drag a bit in the middle. I didn't finish it for a long time. But in the end the solution is to just talk to people in the game some more, and you're bound to remain entertained.

Oh, I loved playing it, I just hate being stuck and I've since recently tried to make a habit of not using walkthroughs. I just haven't gotten around to playing it again. I'm in the middle of so many games I've lost count... Fate of Atlantis, The Dig, Morrowind, Monkey Island, etc. Some I haven't played for ages.

I didn't make it to the end on the first attempt, either. I got quite close, but only with the help of walkthroughs, back before I gained a modicum of self-control. Luckily, I'd given way to the walkthrough temptation beast so easily that when I came to replay it a few years later, I'd forgotten all (or most of) the walkthrough solutions. Hooray!

I frankly don't know how anybody got through Sam & Max without a walkthrough. That game has some of the craziest puzzles I've ever seen.

I did it, and there were only two real brain stumpers for me. One where is the money, that took like 4 months searching everywhere, eventually I found it by clicking around randomly on accident. The other was stopping the Tunnel of Love, I must've rode it 40 times.

Sam & Max was actually the LucasArts title I found the most unfunny the first time around but then again, I was thirteen and didn't have a faintest idea who Dan Quayle was. Also, there was a bug that made Sam's sprite wander around the screen sometimes when you were talking to someone.
