News Tickers on Buses

I haven't needed to take the bus anywhere for a while, but since starting University this year, I take the bus to the campus. Today I noticed that the bus I was on, which looked fairly new, had a news ticker on it which ran through a variety of news related headlines. I think this is cool. It gives you something to do while on the bus. Have you seen them before on a bus? Is this common on new buses?

The buses I ride normally just have a sign saying STAY BEHIND YELLOW LINE.
