Most online comics seem to be created by people with good artistic skills but little ability to write amusing comics, but I do read Gone with the Blastwave regularly (like, once a year, when it's updated), which I was introduced to by our own Jazhara7.

I really don't have any particular likes. If it's creative and funny, I'll go for it.

Oh dear, you might regret asking this later on, because I read *a lot* of comics.
But okay. You can find links to my absolute favourites on my blog*. - *No, this is a not a shameless plug. If anything, it is a *shameful* plug, because I haven't got any posts in my blog at all. And I refuse to be ashamed anyway, since I have made it my policy not to put anything pointless in my blog. And since there's *nothing* in it, I guess it's not a plug at all. It is a Proud Non-plug.** **That's my story, and I'm sticking with it. *** ***Actually, it's not really a story, but the terrible truth.

Okay, I'll guess I'll post some of the links from my blog here (though seriously, it was not a plug. I was just too lazy to post all of them here. Still am, so these will come a few at a time. )
Flaky Pastry - This comic is fun. It's where my avatar is from (as well as my title "Really, that's a mistake.", which is what Zintiel was saying in that picture). Please Note: This is one of the comics where you get some extra text when hovering your mouse over the comic. So be sure to do that every time, it sometimes adds a nice extra joke to the whole scene. Gnoph - A tale of life, love, and internal parasites (Warning, might not be suitable for kids...seriously, it isn't. Like the message below the first page says, the comic contains: Lots of hemoptysis, and some cursing. ^_^ ) Weregeek - Read it. It's fun. ^_^ Purgatory Tower - This comic is a phenomenon. Shortly after its release it already had a huge reader base, it's that good. Oh, and don't judge it from your first impression, because I guarantee it, it is *NOT* a furry comic. Yahtzee Takes On The World - by our very own Ben Croshaw. This coming had been complete even when I first read it, but it is still one of my top favourites to this day. A Modest Destiny (and the other comics on that site) finally back after a long time away from the Internet...and I just saw "A Modest Destiny" finally getting continued! I'll have to catch up right now. ^_^ And you - Go read it now! -

A modest Destiny is being continued? At last! I thought I'd never see the end of the story

Here's some comics I was shown yesterday: Sequential Art - *NOT* a Furry comic, even if some characters might give the impression. Features a Platypus (a real one, not an antropomorphic one) - what's not to love? ^_^ Slightly Damned - Not a Furry comic either, even if it might look as such at first sight. Read it, it's fun. ^_^ -

I haven't posted here much lately, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I found both Concerned: The Half-life and Death of Gordon Frohman and Fleep (maybe not a online-comic per se, but a comic that the creator have choosen to put online) to be very worthwhile reads. Nothing ongoing though.

I found a great site recently, if you enjoy Japanese manga, that has a ton of different stories you can read on their site for free. For example, I just started reading the popular Berserk series. (apparently it's been going for quite a while because there are a lot of volumes to read)
http://manga.bleachexile.com/berserk.html This page is for Berserk, but they have a ton of other manga stories on there. Just want to give a heads up though if you read Berserk or some of the other mangas on there, many have very adult situations or lots of violence. (not for kids) Last edited by MystGirl; 09-05-2008 at 07:12 PM. |

These all look interesting. Thanks for posting these. I think I may have found something... http://www.lorencollins.net/freecomic/ It looks like you can download individual issues for many of these. I can't test it though since I have dial up instead of DSL. If you try to download something and the site wants you to pay for it first, then keep clicking on stuff until you find something that will load for free. I know some of the stuff at the very bottom is definitely free. I love Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_webcomics Last edited by MystGirl; 09-05-2008 at 07:28 PM. |
