Default POP! Goes my Heart - Music & Lyrics

I had a blast when I saw Music & Lyrics at the cinema. I'm definatly buying this one on DVD when it comes out in June.

One of the funniest things about this movie was the into sequence, it has been added to youtube:

Thing is I absolutely love this song. I just bought the Music & Lyrics soundtrack and all the songs are superb, they all have heart.

I can tell that it's supposed to be a parody of the 80s, but I can't tell if the audience is supposed to find the song to be bad.

I like the song, too. It's kind of like a mix of The Cure and New Order.

I guess it all depends on how fond you are/were of 80s music. That movie intro was a damn accurate impression of pop music back then. It would have fit in perfectly with the rest of the crowd.

They seem to have been going for a WHAM ripoff there.

Spider... New Order? Nooooo... blasphemy!

I was in my 20's in the 80's and got hooked on MTV in its infancy when all it played were music videos. I though the music and the opening credits video for Music and Lyrics were bang on. I loved the hair!
BTW, I stopped watching MTV once the 90's came around; too busy with work and such. Now, of course, I've moved on to bigger and better things, like Antiques Road Show .
