Pop Up Stoppers?
The Pop Up Stopper I have is just a demo and its just a matter of time before I need to get a new one or purchase it...
But before that I want to know which would you recommend? Are there any out there free? Mine eats up all the memory I have to shut it down when ever I open a few windows....

Use Opera and put from quick preferences -> "open-requested pop-up windows only"
At least that's how I got rid of pop up's

The Google Toolbar has pop-up-stopping capabilities, apparently, as well as being useful in its own right.
I haven't tried it though so I may be talking rubbish. |

My brother uses the Google toolbar on his PC and is very happy with it. It doesn't block spyware install attempts (the "do you trust software from this sneaky company?!" messages that appear sometimes), though.

I use the Google Toolbar. It's great. As far as install attempts .. wouldn't want any program to block those .. as sometimes they're legitimate. When they're not, you just click 'no'. Pretty simple.

Mozilla is very effective at stopping block-ups. I've been using it for well over a year (maybe even two? Not sure how long ago the popup blocker was added) and I've hardly ever seen an unsolicitated pop-up since.

Also, when MS finally ships XP SP2, IE will get integrated popup blocking.

I'd recommend Firebird, which has a lot of other nice features.
Of course, we're now talking a brand new browser and stuff. |

The Google Toolbar really is the best. Mine has currently block over 2000 pop ups in the past 3 months or so.

I just can't understand how anyone can stand browsing without popupblocking, tabbed browsing and mouse gestures.

Aside from mouse gestures, I agree with you

If you start using mouse gestures, you will see what I mean. Just wiggle a bit with the mouse and you get a reload, back, forward or close of the tab. It's very convenient.
