Got my presents this evening (or yesterday, depending on how you see it, it's after twelve now..)

I got:
Dragonology - The Complete book of Dragons.. That one --> link
Karstein Volle: Med Hånden på Hjertet - 125 Fakta fra Verden - Political Comic Writer..
Andy Riley: A Box of Bunny Suicides two small books in a box about different ways these bunnies commit suicide. Have no idea why I like it.. link
aand a sim game called Hotel Giant all from my BF..

From my close family I got:
Eoin Colfer: Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception
Eoin Colfer: Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony
Kari Sverdrup: Verden, Liksom
And a bed set, matching the one my BF got.

My grandmother gave me: Animorphs: The Prophecy and 500kr.
My Grandfather gave me 500kr and my stepfathers mother gave me 500kr

My BF's family gave me the Harry Potter 1-4 DVD collection (still considering if I should keep it, since I'm not that fond of the movies..)
And apparently his grandmother also gave us matching bed sets and towels (we don't celebrate Christmas together, but, since both our families are in the same town, we visit each other during mid-Christmas)

My very good old friend gave me: Strawberry Bath and shower gel and Lip Balm from Body Shop, and a necklace with a snake pendant.

Other than that I got a very uncomfortable bracelet, and an angel candle holder (I'm not fond of big ceramic candle holders, at least not when I live in a small flat, and I'm especially not fond of angels!) from my step-fathers family.
One of my mothers friends gave me a small book called "Felicity Wishes: little book of wishes"..

Besides the strange things my stepfathers family gave me, I'm very pleased, I got several things I really wanted, among other things the Dragonology book and the Artemis Fowl books. My family loves to read, so books are like the one most certain gift to get each year.
My little brother and sister got, as always, a lot of toys and movies, so I'll be trying a lot of their new stuff the next days..

I wished for it, but I didn't get it.

Oh well, maybe I'll get it for my birthday in February.

Aanyway. I shouldn't be sad about what I didn't get, but be happy about what I did get. And I got quite a lot yesterday evening.

From my parents/the Christkind: - Princess Mononoke Special Edition in a Wooden box and with poster

- Porco Rosso Special Edition

- (Laputa) Castle in the Sky Special Edition (special "YAY!" because I missed it when they finally showed it in the cinema in my town.)

- The Castle of Cagliostro Special Edition

- ICE AGE 2 Special Edition in a metal box

- The Complete Amber Chronicles (Book 1-10) by Roger Zelazny

- Pirates of the Carribbean 2 Special Edition

- Saddler's Tools! (Finally I can make myself shoes without having my hand ache for one week)

- A medieval headdress:

- A brown leather skirt

- A niki pyjama

- A T-Shirt with a picture called "Dolphin Dawn" on it

From my middle sister:

- A large rock with a fossilised animal

From my unlce:

- The Readers' Digest Illustrated History of the World

From a friend of the family that I have one of my middle names from:

- Harry Potter 4 Special Edition

From my eldest sister:

- Nothing (she came by plane, so I'll get something by mail)

Also, once I've lost some weight, this:

A new lovely silk cheongsam (the picture doesn't do it credit. The flash brought out the texture of the silk too much. It's actually just blue with white embroidery) (from my parents)!

Oooh, and I forgot! I got a Gutschein for a Tiffany (you know, like stained glass windows) workshop!

I was to go to one two weeks ago, but it was cancelled due to lack of interest.

Merry Christmas everyone,

My loot:
"Santa":
-Watchmen: Absolute Edition
-Lost Girls
-The Director's Label Series Box Set 2 (the best music video series ever)
-Dekalog (a Korean Decalogue DVD set....on the way still)
-Playstation dualshock controller (the vibrators on our current ones are going faulty...)

Brother:
-Okami

Mom and Dad:
-Some clothes
-Cities of the Red Night by William Burroughs
-The Western Lands by William Burroughs
-Godiva hot cocoa mix

Sister:
-The Cat Inside by William Burroughs (obviously from the parents in disguise)

About Lost Girls - She had already ordered it. Mom was a little surprised by the explicitness but she actually kinda likes it. She said, and I quote "I'm gonna hafta look at this some time, in private."

Things I gave:
Brother - The BRD Trilogy courtesy of a half-off deal at Amazon
Sister - Mario Kart DS (she got a DS today....so jealous; my brother got her New Super Mario Bros.)
Mom - LOST seasons 1 and 2, one of which my brother still owes me for
Dad - all 3 LotR Extended Edition DVDs, one of which my brother still owes me for

Still to come: grandmother and uncle

You know when you guys get done reading think of the wayward old souls overseas who have run out of things to read and had to order some books since the only good book store is like 45 miles away and the weather is to sucky to get outside. Well, at least I got the Lensmen series to look forward to (real old style sci fi stuff!).

P.S. My daughters love your taste in movies Jaz

*Woops I just realized he might have meant a game instead of the book*

Seeing as we seem to be listing presents...

- Sibelius 4. This one is a couple of weeks later than would have been particularly useful .
- The Complete Fawlty Towers DVD
- Mission: Impossible 3 (2 Disc) DVD
- Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Collector's Edition
- The Darkness - One Way Ticket to Hell and Back
- Garth Marenghi's Darkplace DVD

and a £15 HMV card thing.

I'm very happy .

I want those too!

play.com is having a huge winter sale, so I'm actually considering buying all the Miyasaki movies they have.. Unfortunatly it doesn't look like they have my favourite - Nausicäa: Walley of the Winds.. Actually I'm considering buying half their shop..

Can I see a pic of the Ice age dvd box? Do you know where to get hold of it?

You all got really cool presents!

I wish I had also gotten my "Fullmetal Alchemist" DVDs, but my mother said she was unable to manage two suppliers for Christmas presents. She got most stuff from Amazon.de, and didn't even take a look at Play.com (which still sells those DVDs)

Anyway, the metal box is not much different from the plastic box. In fact, it is a metal casing around the plastic of the box, and the normal picture of the movie printed on it. It's also in German, so I don't know if this kind of edition is also available in English.

Merry belated Christmas!

I got some new shirts and earrings from my mom, a cute coffee mug and coaster set from my niece (I'll need to take a picture of it), some hot chocolate and a nice leather padfolio from my dad and some stuff to put around the house from my sister.

Me and my girlfriend broke up a few days before Christmas. That was hard. I was all alone on the first christmas day (in the Netherlands we have two Christmas days). On the second one I had dinner with some good friends of mine. But no presents! I got presents with Sinterklaas though.
