We do, actually. Each time I go to Britain and watch TV there, I'm shocked at how you guys still seem to be in advertising stone age. Germany is full of incredibly imaginative ads. Certainly entertaining enough not to switch the channel during an adblock. Which, of course, is their goal attained, right there.

Sadly we also get some of the most terrifyingly bad adverts on the planet.

@Huz: LOL. And I thought the german variant was bad. That must be downright terrifying.

@Jat316sob: 'Unorthodox liquids', what a priceless way to put it. I think that would annoy me, too. Milk with the hamster shavings or nothing at all, damnit!

The 3 Mobile ads with all the weird technology scare me.

Any bank ads (Halifax in particular for resurrecting shite songs like 'Who let the dogs out', gahhh! Although the Nationwide ones with that fat git are annoying too).

Any Orange ones, cos they remind me of those stealing cheating wanking fuckwits.

I really liked those 3 ads with the little animals that killed each other. Shame that the network is crap.

Argh, I really can't stand the current DFS ad that's running, it's driving me nuts.

Some man with a horrible accent and a voice that just generally grates on me, reads out a stupid rhyme about their low prices.

All DFS adverts are terrible. They don't even feature good-looking sofas!

I like the dfs ads....well except for the curent one, the guy doesnt even make a effort....just reads the lines out.

And they could have atleast changed the words when the woman sung it.

I dislike the Diamond ads, its like they are rubbing it in your face that its for women only.

Oh and the yes adverts, they say that anyone can get covered then the finish it off with "its only for good people"

Actualy car insurance ads always seem to be horible....except for the old churchhill ads when they actualy used the model and not the whole CG thing.

I hate the latest HMV advert, simply because I loathe people who cannot pronounce the letter "H" correctly.

I haven't seen the HMV advert yet. From your complaint alone, though, I can tell that I already hate it.

Mispronunciation of the letter "H" - I take it that the aspiration was missing? - is one of my pet peeves.

I hate commercials that repeat the same thing (in most instances 3 times) in quick succession.

This ad for Head On does it.

There's one for Relacore where this is said 3 times in a row (very annoyingly) - I can't find a clip:

Relacore commercial: "Why did your last diet fail? Stress increases Cortisol. Cortisol causes belly fat. Relacore reduces Cortisol. You need Relacore."

Repetition to that extreme doesn't occur much in television adverts over here.

Thankfully.

It doesn't really here either. That Relacore ad just made me want to kill my TV and then that Head On ad popped up. I hope it doesn't become a trend.

What is weetabix, and what exactly is annoying about that comercial(I don't watch TV)? I actually do eat corn flakes with chocolate milk.

Worst add I can think of, which I'm quite sure is worse than anything mentioned before is the hummer add with the slogan "reclaim your masculinity".

What. The. Fuck?

It's one thing for them to rely on and subtly promote this sort of depravity to sell their gas wasting barrel rolling bystander murdering crimes against technology, but to actually be so brazen and arrogant as to say something that absurd ... WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

The assholes who made that add should be kicked in the groin over and over and over while being forced to breathe exhaust fumes, very high concentrations of them.

I despise the Money Tree commercials. The ones with a guy and gal in caterpillar costumes making dumb jokes.

Weetabix is a kind of round, oval wheat stuff that tastes like cardboard if you don't have some sort of topping on it.But SMOOTHIE + CHOCOLATE MILK?!
What does the advert world think we ARE?!
