Default I am sad

To counter those bloody happy people.

I am sad because I hate my day time job, and because I can't seem to land another one that is more exciting. And I also hate my manager

Soccerdude
I´m not the one to give advice, but try to focus on the good parts in you life. Friends, family, gaming, living in a sunny part of the world for one thing!
A boring work brings in the money for now. New doors in you life will arrive for sure. Nothing stays the same very long.

I´m sad for reason I´ve shared before. I take one day at the time. If I have a good book to read, that´s good. If I get a friendly or fun message or reply here in the forum I´m happy.
Tomorrow I´m going out with friends for a couple of beers! That´ll be the excitement for the week!

Have you been playing soccer recently?

If not, go do that as soon as possible!

I'm simply sad.

But, slang terms for "uncool" aside, I'm sad because my copy of Oblivion hasn't been dispatched yet. And because my social life is borderline non-existant, particularly when I'm at home.

Note to all: This is not a request for comfort/life advice.

Of course not. Sometimes one has to wallow in self-pity for a bit in order to get it out of one's system. If one doesn't indulge the darkness occasionally, then one doesn't properly appreciate the light. Not advice, merely musing.

I don´t know if this is something to be sad about. I´ll know tomorrow.
I discovered today that something has gone seriously wrong with our plumbing. We can´t use the bathrooms or the sinks and after the plumber was here the house is reeking.
Tomorrow there will be someone here with cameras to search the problem underground. That´s when I know if it´s sad or not, when the bill comes.
Tonight we´re going to a hotel (picked a nice one ). Jaffa stays with friends and I´ll get to sit in the hotel bar tonight and sip a drink.

I do, and my nights and weekends are usually happier, because I spend them with my girlfriend and playing games (Family is about 5000 miles away) but the daytime job takes about 9-10 hours of my day. If you consider I sleep for 8 hours, that is about 1/3 of my days spent working, and it's painful. I am very thankful though in other regards, because the pay is usually good (funny how it works that you get payed more for a job you don't like)
I'm trying to change it though, by looking for new jobs and working on a small project on the side (hopefully I can start my own business) so hopefully I'll get over this small bump

I love soccer, it is a stress reliever. I get to play it every saturday, but for the last 2 weeks, it's been raining on Saturdays. (For a California that is sunny, it sure rains a lot here). I can't wait though for next Saturday to play hopefully if there is no rain.

Oh and the worldcup is coming which makes me VERY HAPPY. But hold on a second this is the sad thread

What about your night time job then? It's a sad world. Being sad isn't so bad at all. Being mad is better.

*sings*

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistling]

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistling]

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...

Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistling]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistling]

Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistling]

fade and out.....
