The deep sea is really exciting because of all the undiscovered creatures down there.

We all know about the duck-billed platypus - an egg-laying mammal - but it has a cousin - the echidna, or spiny anteater, also an egg-laying mammal, and they comprise the only members of the monotreme family.

Of course they are. I saw them in the Zoo.

Those zoos... always out to make a quick buck. Face it, they just squashed a hedgehog slightly and shoved a new nose on it!

Nah, I doubt it. The Zoo in my area hasn't had any elephants for ages, and so they wouldn't have been able to get the nose.

Also, I would have known if it was a fake Echidna. My family has nursed enough hedgehogs to spot one if we see one (washing a hedgehog and looking for parasites in between it's spines will make you remember how a hedgehog's spines look).

"Aah, come in Mr Snuffles! It's spine replacement, isn't it? Now hold still, you may feel a small prick from this needle. And this needle. And this one. And another. And another..."

Cows that can't spell deserve no sympathy .

Though, admittedly, those ones can stand on their hind legs. Which makes them fairly cool.

I was very tempted to post a picture of myself in this thread, but I stopped before letting my over-inflated ego push me quite that far.
