Unfortunately, Maquisard, it's not so much a zombie version as it is just the regular old image of the aviator guy. Giligan pointed out that he looked a little decomposy, which I realized was true. Then when I mentioned it, Jelena agreed. Sadly, nothing too exciting (the image is posted just above on this thread). I think it was the cheek bones that did it...

I've been meaning to change it for a little while now, this seemed like a good time.

Oh...you're right, it's the cheek bones.

Temper! The yellow makes it look just a bit, um.... "Tony Hawk box-graphicsish".

I'm sure your face is fine.

You know, all this avatar changing has made me wonder if it's time to get myself a new avatar....... Don't want to be left out, you know.

But then, Caine is so cool, no new avatar could be as cool as him.

Does she take off her shades at every appropriate moment? Does she even wear shades? If not, well, I don't think so.

She doesn't need shades. Her eyes turn red (they're not always that colour). Also, she fights with a Katana (though the shape also resembles a Kukri a bit) that is especially effective since her own blood is seeping through the carvings on it.

Beat that!

A Kukri? A Gurkha fighting knife? Crossed with a Katana?

And I suppose she has the silly "whoops" or fighting yells to go with it, while she's swinging it around like martial-arts expert?

I'll take Caine's SIG-Sauer.

Oh, no! She's silent when doing so. And splattered in blood.

(Yes, following is a copy paste from my post elswhere)

This is Haji. Haji is awesome. I am not being fangirlish here, this is a purely platonic admiration.

This is Saya Otonashi, the main character. (Yes, that is blood)

And that's her too.

And that.

And that, some 30 years earlier.

And this is Haji again. Isn't he awesome? Very mysterious.
The series also has an unusual appearance of Grigori Rasputin (probably one of the few real villains in history, although this of course is just part of the story. Having been in Human Geography class I try to remain neutral, and remember that it's always the winnders that write history. For example, Rasputin had a daughter, who knew him as a loving father. That's a completely different picture from the manipulative 'holy man' that he is known as. But it is no less true.

...still, he's creepy. Look up the circumstances of his death, and you will know what I mean. He was poisoned with cyanide, which didn't work. Then he was shot three times, and then beaten down [though he still fought back, it is said], then thrown into the frozen Neva River. And apparently he tried to claw his way out through the ice too. He might have drowned, but in any case he had finally died by that point. Now *there*'s a man who really values his life a lot.). Very unusual indeed. I say no more.

Oh, and yes, you guessed right. The series is basically about vampires. But the vampires are quite different. For one, some of the vampires are killed by Saya's blood.
