I'm not much of a movie person, but this is certainly something I'll want to get. Unless I choose to buy the movies seperately.

No Spaceballs? No Producers (the real thing, not the musical)? Obviously not a complete collection, as it seems to be missing two 'classics'.

I've got Men in Tights on VHS, absolutely hilarious, unfortunately I've watched it so many times I know the dialogue and jokes inside out As for the Mel Brooks Collection, I'm getting that when I get some more spare cash to throw on it

Thats why this is a good package, Robin Hood Men in Tights has never been released for anything but Region 2. Being in Canada, I'm excited.

You could also just wait until he dies. You know they'll make special edition releases on DVD soon after, and then a year later they'll release the extra special editions.

Actually, I'd say that this is the ideal package. I already own Spaceballs, nd I'll bet that's their best-selling of all his films, so this set avoids including the one that most brooks fans already own.

I do already have Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles, though. Maybe I'll sell them

I also have Spaceballs & Blazing Saddles, so this pack is still a great deal. I'm not happy about the price though......I really wish they would release Men in Tights by itself.

Well, the retail price is not generally the price you'll actually pay most places online

Amazon has it for $69.99

I've had Men in Tights on DVD for years, it was actually the DVD that made me by a DVD player.

A collection like this really should have Spaceballs in it, though.

Replace "Men in Tights" with "Mel Brooks"...

That's what I was thinking. I saw it in the theater when I was like 12, and even at that age I thought it was pretty dumb.

I think the last good film Mel Brooks made was the History of the Worldart 1. Up to that point, he made some great films. Young Frankenstein in particular, which probably would go into my to 100 films of all time list.
