That doesn't make much sense. A disc doesn't have source code, only files and some table that tells the hardware how access things. Is there a file with code in it?

It's for an XHTML class. Our book came with a disc and our teacher told us to copy the source code into our network drives so we don't have to bring it to class. I don't know what he's talking about though.

The source code is the lines of code that make a programme run.

So i'm guessing the disc comes with some XHTML programmes that he wants you to copy from the disc to the network drive.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call XHTML files programs, but other than that, yeah, "source code" refers to what I am presuming are XHTML code example files on the CD with tags and whatnot.

"I like the idea of Oompa Loompa Elementals."

Oh geeze. I can't make heads or tails of this disc. If I post screen shots of what's on the disc do you think any of you can tell me what he wants?

Do you see any files with xht, xhtml, or xml extensions? Something like:

anyname.xhtml

Your prof's probably talking about sample XHTML documents (it feels a bit funny to use "program" to describe HTML or XHTML documents) contained on the CD. They should look like this when opened with a text editor like Notepad:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html
PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<title>XHTML Example</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>This is a tiny example of an <acronym title="Extensible HyperText
Markup Language">XHTML</acronym> document.</p>
</body>
</html>
