Or maybe the duck Cheated on the dog and he ate her for payback?

Or maybe dog asked duck a question about Sky Pluse and ducks reply was too smart for him so he ate her?

Or maybe the ducklings are really puppies in halloween costumes?

Ack! All this cuteness and marginally clever use of PhotoShop is affecting even me!
Oh well, when in Rome...

They may not be cute, but at least the image is genuine.

The light source, shadow lines, and proportions on it seem to be correct, so it has a fairly high probability factor.
I was thinking more of the "kittens in cups" one.

now that you mention it...judging by the size of the head the grey one shouldnt be able to fit in that cup...either that or its the cat with the giant head

Also, those are "lop-eared" kittens, a breed which originated in Scotland.

That's because of the phenomenon exhibited by most baby mammals, which in German is known by the name of "Kindchenschema" and apparently does not have a specific name in English. Basically it means that baby mammals have extremely cute and exaggerated features, which is most prominently expressed by a disproportionately large head. And they also have large eyes, puffy cheeks, and are generally cute, in order to trigger protective and caring behaviour from adult animals. Based on that, 'Cute' does not really mean 'pretty' or 'beautiful' - A baby elephant can be the cutest creature in the world, but it would never win prices for it's beauty.

That being said, it's time for KITTENWAAAAAR!!!! (May the cutest Kitten win. )

That's a common misconception. Remember, men designed the Nash Metropolitan, and you can't get much cuter than they are:
