This thread made me laugh first thing in the morning (the first cartoon with the dino is hilarious; and makes no sense), and checking it again from times to times put a smile on my face all day.

Sam: It means "Let's not cry over the passing of the time; it's turning off the candles." Or something like that. Do you know this cartoon? It's called "Le Chat" (the cat).

I was trying to say "stud", you know male animals primarily used for breeding.

"You hot French stud you" somehow got translated into "vous le français chaud vous cloute".
