I don't think anything I can say will make me appear more different or strange than I am already am.
Except if I said that I like grey squirrels. But that would be a lie. -

Seriously, those gray bastards are invading Europe now? I've had enough of them here, without having to see them when I visit motherland...

It's a good thing that red squirrels are still selectively advantaged in certain types of woodland . |

I've read a short-story once, about two old American Indian women being left by their tribe to die, who found ways to survive, such as hunting squirrels....
So yeah, Indians eat squirrels.

I think if the squirrel were fully cooked, these diseases wouldn't have a big impact. |

You city folks are funny!
Of course you can eat squirrels. Shoot 'em, clean 'em, skin 'em, batter 'em, and fry 'em up. Since they're kind of small, it does take quite a few to make a meal, though. Possum and raccoon can be eaten as well, but they're usually more trouble than they're worth. As they're both scavengers, you have to put them in a cage and feed them table scraps (ideally fruits and vegetables) for a few weeks before killing them in order to "sweeten the meat" (get rid of the nasty, strong flavor they normally have because of their diet in the wild).
