Default Steven Spielberg's latest: MUNICH

What do you guys think of the trailer? This is suddenly one of the films I most want to see, along with Terrence Malick's A New World. Supposedly this film is among Spielberg's best, which can be saying a lot if one is putting it up against Schindler's List.

Feels like a boring movie.
Oh well that's a big surprise, when it's a Steven Spielberg movie.

But seriously, it doesn't feel like a good movie after I watched the trailer.
It just feels so bleghh...

This could be good if Spielberg can avoid tacking on a forced happy ending.

Mind you, the trailer didn't really excite me. Some of the dialogue sounds utterly atrocious.

I rather liked the trailer myself. But I've seen plenty of trailers I liked where the movie didn't turn out good. I'm mainly going on word of mouth so far. All I'm saying is that if it's truly one of Spielberg's best, that means something. He is a hit or miss filmmaker, and he's made some horrendous movies. However, his great films are quite good.

I couldn't really get a feel for the dialogue from that trailer. I hope it's not atrocious though. I highly doubt it will be, given the fact that the screenplay is by Tony Kushner, the Pulitzer Prize winning writer of the play and TV miniseries "Angels in America". Both are pieces known to have great dialogue.

Neither could I. The film definitely promises to be better than most of the drek that's been coming out this year, so I'll likely enjoy it for at least that reason. Has anyone else felt 2005 has been a singularly bad year for "quality" (whatever that means) Hollywood films?
