ICQ histories...
are E.V.I.L..
sometime in 2004 : me: X dreamt that he asked Battlecat (you know, He-Man and stuff) for its ICQ number. Batllecat! For its ICQ number! LOOOOL! friend: LOOOOL! me: I guess we had too much wine while we were playing Snake Rattle'n'Roll yesterday night... Ah, memories. Need to delete that damn file. I don't need no nostalgia. No, no, no. Do you keep your history files? Don't. Just.... don't.

Oh, scary indeed... My history file goes back to early 2002. Yikes! Actually, I promised myself to keep it. I'm sure its a good laugh looking back on it in ten years.

Mine doesn't go back beyond a few years, because I binned all the pre-Trillian stuff.

I'm confused.
What's an ICQ? And why would it have a history? |

The history is a log of every message sent and received between correspondants. In other words, I can delve through my logs to find obscure phrases said to me several years ago, purely so that I can quote someone at the most inconvenient time for them . I want Sam's ICQ address . |

Weirdo? Guilty as charged! Really, really, really weird is: To record every single chat session you had with a friend between early 2003 and 2005. Using a microphone, a Windows PC and some alcohol. Now, that was a really weird experience. We had fun, though. ..(even though it took us hours to finish.)

I don't have that. But I do have some karaoke recordings I made on this New Year's Eve, probably much more embarrasing than what you have.

I'm using both Miranda and Trillian
But I prefer Trillian, although it's a bit too colorful for my taste.

Karaoke is nice! Once upon a time there was this nice plugin for Winamp and two drunk people on a Friday night..
It's kind of odd. I remember that time when we teased that poor guy for weeks about that Battlecat-ICQ-number thing (LOL!). I haven't seen these people in months. And most likely won't ever see them again.*sigh*

Hehehh, I used to use ICQ, but I changed to Trillian in 2003.
I originally started using ICQ with my friends in 1997 or 1998, it a damn shame that I don't have the logs that go that way back... I was an idiot because I cleared the logs back in the day to "save disk space". I do have all the trillian logs and some of the icq logs saved into txt files though. I have .txt files of all my friends saved to my harddrive, it's funny to sometimes go searching the logs and find all kinds of strange stuff, oh how the writing style has changed over the years for example. The earliest logs that I have are dated May 2000. I propably sound like The freak now.

Eh, I pretty much just use AIM and MSN to talk to my one Canadian friend.
