Santa..as you like to call him...was the gunman on the grassy knoll. He was responsible for the Great London Fire.He spawned the Loch Ness monster.
And Aurora Borealis is not some magnetic disturbances. It is the work of Santa. Why else are the present only at the North Pole.
And contrary to popular belief..there is a North Pole.It has been cleverly hidden by Santa and his henchmen.
I had submitted my theory on the existence and interpretation of Santa in a draft to the guys at Mensa of whom I am an esteemed member.
Obivously you're Santa's right arm trying to blind me with your esoteric-X-Files mumbo-jumbo, and send me on a fool's errand to this so-called North Pole, when Santa is really sitting eating spaghettis with his mafia friends in an sicillian restaurant of New York.
Oh, now that I think about it, he probably get drunk with the same friends, before christmas eve, that would explain the maniacal laughter.

Never, ever dare question the intent of a member of Mensa.
You can believe what you feel like. But you will always be distant from the truth. This is not some X-files mumbo-jumbo.I despise the X-files.I offer you the truth.
His maniacal laughter is the result of a strange mutation of the gene that causes the Parkinson's disease.
He doesn't like Italian food.He only relishes the taste of human flesh.

And don't think I don't know what you've been up to on your birthday...

Now my head is full of drunken Santas, faces like the Joker, speaking in a grotesque combination of Brooklyn and Cockney...

"Ho, ho, frickin' ho, foo's! So 'dis is how da gig's goin' down. Project: S.
A.T.A.N..."

My childhood dreams destroyed, I will never be the same again. Curses!

How can an Avatar thread play such horrible tricks on my mind?

...can't sleep... Santa... will get me...

Oh, and don't forget Nissene på Låven. That's brilliant as well.

You have no idea what an avatar is capable of Troy.

My avatar is from a horrible, ancient (from the 1800s) Finnish x-mas card. I showed this to you last year, I believe, but I can never get over its grotesqueness.

(I wonder if that's a real word...)

I want to say LOL. Only I forbid myself to use it. So I won't. But I wish I could.
Then again, if you're having problems with grotesque, christmas is probably a very difficult time for you.

I call it grotesque.
Then again, I call most merchandising grotesque. Halloween's the worse, since it's not even french tradition (what I mean is : some people imported halloween in France a couple of years ago as they saw a good way of making money), but christmas is also really bad.
Then there's Valentine day, and a bunch of others.

Not that I mind tradition (I like gifts!! ), it's more what is done with it.

Not specifically so, but yes, it is, as France is (was) traditionally a catholic country.

I can't be bothered to change my avatar, I did it last week. Christmas is a humbug when you work in a shop and they play the same Christmas compilation over and over and over and over....

Well, first of all, I don't live in Paris . I live in Koskenklylä, Finland, and the first advertisement I seet out in the (uh, I guess you could technically call it a) street is "Cheap, Good Potatoes".

That's actually the only visible advertisement around here.

Koskenkylä is too south for reindeers to live, but occasionally elks stop for a rest in the backyard of my house.

Besides, I seldom watch TV.

Living in Berkeley has its perks. I haven't heard a single Christmas carol, seen a single string of Christmas lights, seen any people dressed up as Santa (nor Santa statues), or even seen any Christmas decorations. Ahhhhh..... The few days before Christmas day, however, I'll be in New York and I have a feeling that's going to be absolutely abominably aberrantly absurd.
