I'd rather a topic about the variants of lol. My favorite is a german variation from my mum's literature page, from a guy called adefis (though he's not registered via that name anymore), who would mark particularily funny topics with sonderlol.

That roughly translates to special lol, except it doesn't roll off the tongue in the same ingenious way in english

Edit: I hope this isn't some sort of record, thread going off-topic in the second post? Eh! Actually, I guess I don't care - as long as the thread starter doesn't mind, either

SamNMax, you're a mercurial, surly, hormone-soaked teenager. I think that being a dick occasionally is in your contract, isn't it?
It would bother me a lot more if you were perky and upbeat all the time. Being around people like that gets on my nerves far worse than the odd bout of dick-like behavior from someone who actually feels a whole range of emotions.

Shit, Maxsie, can't you think of a more imaginative way to scare me off? Won't work. I love your bitchiness, too, if you haven't figured out by now.

I was thinking more along the lines of wasting space on the forums by posting stupid messages and interrupting SERIOUS BUSINESS!.

Ah. Well this is "Chit-Chat", so in the great grand scheme of things every thread here is wasted space to one person or another.
It annoys me a little when you speak that inscrutable language of yours sometimes, but you don't seem to mind translating your thoughts and queries to English, so that's a minor annoyance at best.

An adverb is a word
(That's all it is! And there's a lot of them)
That modifies a verb
(Sometimes a verb and sometimes)
It modifies an adjective, or else another adverb
And so you see that it's positively, very,
very necessary.

I was stage manager for a touring production of Schoolhouse Rock, Live! that went to elementary schools around Virginia. There's nothing like working on a musical to make you hate the damn thing and everything that reminds you of it by the time the show closes. Sometimes I wake up screaming.

But it wasn't that bad, actually. Not like this other show I did where the writer/director used actual songs from the 1980's, and that was a nightmare of a show.

All right, that's it!
You're getting a girlfriend whether you want one or not, young man!
Now put on your clothes while I go get the Betadine and Band-aids.

Now gogettum, young bucky.

*slaps Max's ass as he leaves via the door*

... and don't forget, it pays to protect!

*throws a car tyre out of the window*

NOW GYET!

He's a bit young for that, donchyathink?

You'd be better off doing something else...like uh....i dunno...I don't remember what I did at your age. I didn't have a computer then, so I didn't play computer games. Holy shit, maybe I went outside. There you go. Go outside and make friends.

No. Splinters. Not that I would know firsthand.
