Default What is wrong with people

I put on an underground show yesterday and one of the kids who came out had LEFT and RIGHT tattooed on his forearms. Can he be stupider?

Post the bad tatooes you have seen here.

That's pretty stupid alright. Not even a suggestion of cleverness about it (though I still think a clever tattoo is stupid anyway).

Useful if you can't remember which one is left and which one is right, if you ask me. (I assume they were on the correct arms, respectively?)

Did the person in question at least have the words tattooed on the appropriate forearms?
Since I attended a high school that doesn't have reunions because not all past graduates can get parolled at the same time, I've seen more than my share of nasty, green-ish prison tattoos featuring misspelled words, stick people, and crooked crosses.
What possesses people to do this to themselves remains a mystery to me.

At that tattoo distracts me (albeit very briefly) from his fugly face.

Side note from tattoos - speaking of fugly, it's fun to check out Go Fug Yourself. It's fun!

I see weird tattoos all the time, like this guy:

It's a gang thing.

Ex-Gang Members Look for Fresh Start sans Tattoos · NPR.org

Quote:
Tattoo removal is painful. Some patients say the laser procedure feels like hot grease touching their skin. But for some former gang members, it is crucial to turning their lives around.

In East Los Angeles, a project called Homeboy Industries is offering ex-gang members free tattoo removals. For some, old tattoos can be a barrier to advancing in their jobs. Tattoos specifically associated with gangs can still put those who've left the street life behind them in danger.

The program is part of a larger initiative begun by Father Greg Boyle back in 1988 to help at-risk youths find jobs. Unlike other free programs, Homeboys' doesn't ask anything of participants: no community service, no deposit, nothing except a willingness to stay on a wait list that's almost a thousand names long.

So you'd still say they're bad tattoos but you'd lick them anyway?
