The King of Everything
Hey!
I posted this game a while ago for Mac (under a different name), but I finally made a PC version too. So here it is: http://www.oldsidelinghill.com/KingofEverything.html It's a really simple adventure game in which you must find your way to the King of Everything and relate a secret message to him. As I said, I originally made it for Mac. I used a program called "GameMaker" which later became "SilverCreator" (they work sort of like Hypercard, i guess.) I started the game in 2007 and forgot about it. Then i found it again in 2010 and thought i should just finish it. So i did. The artwork is crude because i used a laptop trackpad to draw it (that's all i had when i started). Let me know if you find any bugs, or if the gameplay is obnoxious. I'm not a programmer, so i kept things very simple for the most part. But i did mess around with inputing text and using items. Okay! Enough talk! |

Sounds intriguing. Multi-platform as well, which is always good. I'll give it a look.

Thanks for checking it out!
Yeah... it would have been nice to include a way to save your progress. Hmm... well... next time i make a game i'll make sure to do that. Last edited by oldsidelinghill; 01-17-2012 at 12:16 PM. |

I thought more about a save game feature and decided to implement a quick fix.
Instead of starting at the beginning of the game every time you die, you now have the option "Try Again" which lets you go back just a couple steps. Also included a walkthrough. here's the new v2.1: http://www.oldsidelinghill.com/KingofEverything.html |
