Anyway, thanks. I'll try again. Dasliva - you can set it to full screen in the AGS settings before you run the game. There's a box checked that says to run the game in a window - just uncheck that and click "Save and Run". |

It's locked up tight, and the key is hidden in the house somewhere.

Ok, I'm getting kinda mad now. I spend four hours downloading it once, and KQ3.000 is corrupt; I spend four more hours downloading it AGAIN from the adventure-eu mirror, and now music.vox is corrupt. What is wrong with these damn files?

i'm going to post this here and at infamous adventures, assuming they haven't found these bugs, but stuff to be aware of at this point:
i'm taking this in half an hour bursts, because it seems like the best thing to do. nice remake. some very nifty artwork, beautiful backgrounds, stirring music. well done to infamous adventures. i have encountered some bugs and will detail the one serious one i've found so far. essentially, there seem to be "walk area" problems. for example, walking to the extreme right hand side of the map and encoutering the sea - there was one point where i managed to trap myself in the ocean. the most serious bug i've come across so far is where mannan sets me the chore of feeding him. because i was curious about seeing whether or not the deaths happened in this game like they did in the original, i hung around and /didn't/ feed him. i wasn't keeping track of the clock, so i'm not sure about how much time elapsed, but he eventually got impatient and hung me from the ceiling. except... ...he really didn't. gwydion could walk around, and do stuff, like he was doing before, except that now the walk areas were /very/ messed up. [i could walk on top of/through the table manannan was sitting at.] - and - weirder still, he was still waiting to be fed. so, of course, i got some meat and fed it to him. mannanan is a happy camper and wonders on off. hm. also, just a minor peeve: having to go all the way to the controls menu to find the clock is frustrating and breaks the immersion pretty badly. otherwise, more as i play. [edited]: to get full screen: [the configurator doesn't always work.] there's a file called acsetup.cfg in your ia/king's quest 3 directory. you need to edit this. notepad will work just fine. in [misc] set: gamecolordepth=32 windowed=0 if windowed is 0 and gamecolordepth=16, you'll sometimes get a /very/ weird palette for the game, which renders everything basically unplayable.

okey doke, something retarded's just happened. i have NO 'bad' items but when happy wizard man pops back from his constipation treatment he says "Oh Gwydion you've discovered old magic" and then batters me.
WHY-YEE? i have the trapdoor closed. i was in the kitchen at the time. i cant think of anything else that would cause such nastiness.

It also doesn't make much sense that you can have magical dough in your ears in his presence but you can't carry the innocent ingredients around. PS: I found the remake too buggy. Very annoying. Pity. |

I haven't played the original, and I'm glad I didn't, because the only thing that makes the timing tolerable is the (almost) smooth interface.
So in the end, I like the remake, and would rate it near KQ1, but far below KQ2 (I'm talking about the AGDS remakes, of course). I'm stuck, though: I have made all the spells in the magic book, but I have no idea what to do with all these potions and cookies and stones. A subtle hint would be very appreciated.
