Sherlock Holmes
Has anyone played any Sherlock Holmes games? I have played The Silver Earing and almost finished Mystery of the Mummy, are there any more for Win98?
I think they are great, Ann |

Trep, your arbitrary definition of what makes a General Game (or a game in general? ) is far too limited. *ducks*
*cough* Back on topic: The Case Of The Serrated Scalpel The Case Of The Rose Tattoo They're both DOS games, but DOSBox might do the trickety trick. I think I played The Serrated Scalpel under Win'98 some time ago. Without resorting to DOSBox.

The interaction in Serrated Scalpel is very minimal, it must be said.
Barely any puzzling to speak of beyond looking at things and talking to people, but it's got an excellent story and makes for an excellent diversion. Those of you looking for a game, however, might not find quite what you're looking for . |

It's an adventure game, after all. And really, who could handle a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery filled with one stupid inventory puzzle after another? http://www.adventuregamers.com/display.php?id=186&p=13 Perhaps the best Sherlock/murder mystery game to this day. Oh, sure, there's Laura Bow, which is even better. Still, that's a sorry showing. It's not like it hasn't been tried...

We are preparing a new Sherlock Holmes game for 2006, with "80 days" technology. Sherlock games as the silver earring take a long time to be done. I'll send you some screens if you are interested.
