Default The making of Maniac Mansion

There's a lengthy article on Edge Online discussing the making of Maniac Mansion. Thought some of you might be interested.

loved this article. nice to see edge (the gaming equivalent of www.pitchforkmedia.com) recognising that the adventure genre exists, in more that sweeping comments about its near death/dead/reborn status.

Hope not, Pitchfork has lost its edge (no pun intended) a long time ago.

depends on what you define as its edge; they're still capable of excellent reviews and articles, but can tend to be too self-indulgent at times, and wander into self-parody, not unlike edge. at least pitchfork didn't claim any ridiculous exclusives

Well, I think their writing was better before. I know it sounds like generalizing because there are many different journalists writing for Pitchfork, but most of the time I just don't find their reviews as fresh and amusing as they used to be. Maybe I should've used the past tense cause I don't really read Pitchfork anymore so perhaps in the meantime things reverted back to normal, but I don't care about going back. I find various mp3 blogs far more informative these days.

Actually it's The Flaming Lips/Elf Power quotation (the song is originally by The Flaming Lips, but Elf Power covered it and changed the lyrics a little). Hope I'm still cool
