Your Most Memorable Moments In Adventure Game History
Top 3:
1. Secret Of Monkey Island - Cannibals & you escaping resulting in the vault safe door . 2. DOTT - Wrecking geeks pony express stamp with fake ink. 3. Leisure Suit Larry (Originals) - Getting shot by the "nice" clerk at your attempt to steal from the shop. |

I'd have to say that wolf in King's Quest 1. That music that played when he showed up on the screen used to make me jump out of my chair.

GK2-Hunting Lodge and Opera...Von Glower is the man Curse of Monkey Island- The pirate song! Sam and Max- The humor.. Max : Sam, either termites are burrowing through my scull, or one of us is ticking. Sam : Oops, oh yeah. [Pulls out the scientist's head, which is a bomb.] Sam : Max where should I put this so it doesn't hurt anyone we know or care about? Max : Out the window, Sam. There's nothing but strangers out there. |

The wandering on Melee Island, in Monkey Island 1.
A bunch of scenes from Indiana Jones 4 (fate of Atlantis), like the ghost dancing, the knife throwing, of the ending. And then a thousands of other moments...

A search for a crazy man!
|
Intro to MI2, intro to Full Throttle (holy crap), interactive movie-style intro to Fate of Atlantis, entire ending sequence of Full Throttle, too many moments to count in Grim Fandango.

Too many to list.
Let's just say something from every LucasArts & Sierra adventure game, and something from various other developers adventure games.

There are indeed too many to list, but to name a few recent ones:
POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD! - in Black Mirror, the confession, even though (or especially because) I had it figured out at that time. - in Riven, the discovery of the environment shaped animals. - in Grim Fandango, the transition from year 1 to year 2. - in Sanitarium, the level with the children and the Mother. - in URU, the garden in the Elder's Age.

Also, I liked the intro to The Dig, Sam&Max- when Max pulls out thet paper from a cat, and probably every line he says, the "other world" in TLJ... to many, if I try to remember more I'll get braindamage

In no particular order (and yes, I'm probably forgetting a ton of great moments from other great games...):
- Virtually any scene with Von Glower in Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within. And of special note: finding Von Zell (know what I mean?), any scene at the hunt club, the first scene where Gabriel talks to Von Glower in his house, the "night hunt", the "dream" after the "hunt", and the entire second half of Chaper 6 (best climax in adventure game history). - Casablanca (Rubacava) sequence of Grim Fandango. Loved to see Manny on the Bogart suit. Ha ha. - The discovery of the whole time travel element in Day of the Tentacle and seeing how it affected the gameplay. Very cool. - When you start travelling between the islands in Riven. Wow. - The Bayou St. John Voodoo ceremony in GK1, the climax of GK1. - The ending of GK3 - The ending of Silver Earring - Realizing, with a dumbfounded stupor on my face, just how real and, at the same time, stylistic that Last Express was. It felt like a living, breathing world. I was truly transported to another place. Brilliant. - Just about any sequence in Syberia. Magic. - King's Quest VI: I was fascinated by the multiple endings and how drastically different you achieved them. - I'm not a fan of Phantasmagoria, but the "big demon tearing open a human head" death scene is pretty unforgettable in the world of games. - The atmosphere of Silent Hill 2, and the In Water ending. |

Its difficult to narrow it down and avoid major spoilers.
Intro To Full Throttle, especially the bit when the camera zooms through the biker pack and then pans round Ben on his bike. Transition from Year 1 to Year 2 in Grim Fandango. The Year 2 to 3 is also pretty cool purely for the look of the boat. Events in Room 312 in Silent Hill 2. The bit where the holo-sculpture in the Art school morphs in the Longest Journey.

In no particular order:
the room with the 2 glowing eyes in Shivers freaked me out at first. the game of Deadtris in Monty Python's Holy Grail game was ridiculously funny. Manny's poetry in the coffee-house scene in Grim Fandango . The Balloon-animal guy in LSL7 was hilarious... |
