Yes, it's Aquarica. Since White Birds has shut down i'm not sure about the status of this project and whether there will be something out of it, but Sokal and his partners had a huge plans for a high budget movie and game as well. You can read more about it here and here

I can't believe it's been 4 years since I did that series of articles on White Birds... (How has this site been able to survive without me for so long?) Anyway, I doubt that Aquarica is ever going to materialize. Back then, they struck me as having crazy huge ambitions but not really what it took to realize them.

(And I was going to guess No. 9, but someone got here before me...)

Well, since Sokal is artist first, game designer second, maybe end of White Birds isn't the end of his projects, as he can collaborate with other developers and publishers. Maybe we'll get some answers already with Syberia 3 and seeing how much Benoit Sokal is involved in it.

but do we know that he indeed is involved with it?i was following a Microids facebook page that was there only for the fans to ask questions and stuff but there was never a confirmation about it.all we got was we are still in negotiations.

i'll check again but i haven't had any email notification about sth new.
