Default Recommend a game for me

Can somebody please recommend a game for me?
I'm looking for a pretty funny story to play, along the lines of Sam and Max, Runaway and Discworld. In terms of humour that is.

The story has to be strong and puzzles not too frustrating.
Good voice acting is a MUST.

Thanks in advance,
Ste.

Sorry for the title, a college friend f*cked with my computer.

I warmly recommend in terms of hilarious to try Simon the sorcerer (1 and 2).
I was on the ground laughing many times!
PS: If you like Discworld , then you'll 100% enjoy Simon the sorcerer!
And :
Secret files series
Broken sword series
Monkey island series
Gilbert Goodmate

And about the voice acting it depends on your preferences . Better check a few gameplay of these games on youtube to see if you like the voice acting.

Again, Broken Sword/Monkey Island but I'm going to say MAYBE to Simon The Sorcerer. You see, I think there’s a good chance of liking it if you liked Discworld, but I loved the Discworld games and didn't like it because I hated the main characters voice!

I'll add the Runaway series to the list, but some people hate the leads voice so you may want to check that one out. It's also got a few harder puzzles in it but it's not too bad.

I find it interesting that you included Discworld in your list but you said you don't want games that is too frustrating, in terms of puzzles. Most people, myself included, think that the first Discworld's puzzles are extremely hard and quite often illogical!

Thanks guys, yeah I have completed all of the broken swords, a massive fan in fact. I'm so ashamed to say this but I got bored of Monkey Island, I need to install it again because without that, I'm not a proper adventure gamer :')

And I used a walkthrough with Discworld series, when I got VERY stuck that it. But the game was so beautiful, and the story and everything dragged me in so much, I didn't really care about using a little hint here and there. I just loved it, hehe.

I'm going to try Simon the Sorcerer, I didn't know that there was voice acting or I would have tried sooner!

Thanks again,
Ste

I replied to your post from memory and forgot you included Runaway! Sorry!

I think you'd like Day of the Tentacle as well anyways.

Which Monkey Island did you play?

Teenagent is quite funny. It is a very old game and no voice at all but it is great fun if you can put up with 2D graphics which are, however, fun too. Available from GOG.

In many ways the third and the tales games are very different to the first two, so perhaps give one of them a shot.

And BTW, I wouldn't look down at you at all, if you couldn't get into Monkey Island games. Well, I can't really anyways, due to the fact I still have a lot of catching up to do myself, but yeah, I imagine if I didn't have this catching up to do, I wouldn't because at least you are into some of the other classics.

Recently I found Jolly Rover and Puzzle Agent to be pretty funny. Puzzle Agent is more of a puzzle game a la Layton though. Also, Tales of Monkey Island was incredibly funny for me (I mean, way more than my expectations!)

Thanks guys for the helpful posts
I actually own Jolly Rover, and puzzle agent,
I got them in a Steam deal for next to nothing, and haven't had chance to play them yet , completely forgot all about them.

I've been looking at a few gameplay videos of some of the games mentioned, s you have all been a great help,
thank you
