what happened to the agatha christie games.
i liked the first three games and now that ive finally finished them i found out about peril at end house and death on the nile was released. i was going to buy them, but have found out that there not like the original 3. A, b ,c murders also looks bad from what i played of it, with math puzzles that dont relate to the game i mean the first 3 games were a good start and they were getting better and better with each game, why the sudden change to hidden object.
It may be me but how do you guys feel, or do u prefer the new games.

The casual ones are okay, but I really want a new one like the first three. Evil Under the Sun was the best in my opinion, I really really liked it! I'm slightly biased because Poirot is a legend...

The hidden object games (Peril & Death on the Nile) were made by Flood Light Games in 2007 (the three conventional Agatha games were made between 2005-2007 by Awe Games).
They are completely separate franchises I believe. If I'm wrong, someone let me know. |

I thaught the casual games are awful! Mainly because the whole basic principal is wrong! I mean, Poirot goes in search of meaningless objects so he can cross them of his evidencelist? Why would he do that? All he needs are his little grey cells and if there is an object in a room that is somehow suspicous Poirot would notice it the minute he walks in the room.
He's Poirot, not Japp! This is an insult to the greatest detective who never lived! |

I do agree with you, it does seem silly, let Hastings do that kind of thing. |

I stand firm in my belief that seek-and-find games are the bane of existents for the Adventure genre, and shouldn't even be counted as such.

Scott Nixon from AWE made some posts in this thread at GameBoomers explaining the situation.
