Where's Agatha Christie this year?
For three years in a row since 2005, I had the joy of playing a new Agatha Christie mystery during the late months of Autumn. I've searched for information about a possible fourth game in the series, but alas, I could not find anything yet. When The Adventure Company announced this series a few years ago, they said their plan was to publish a total of ten games. Question is, are they taking a break this year? Or is developer AWE Games updating their tools and design approach for an upcoming mighty return? Or is the whole thing on hold now?
Did somebody heard anything about it? |

I don't know if we can say much (since no other information is given) but in another site a new adventure of Agatha Christie is announced

I'm not sure, but I think that's a new entry into Oberon Media's casual series. They look like good games, but I prefer classic adventures, like the ones AWE Games previously made. But thanks!

I noticed on Amazon.com that Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile is supposed to be released on October 13. There's no mention of it at Amazon.ca, though. It's being released by Dreamcatcher Interactive so maybe you could check their site.

I just double checked and it's a hidden object game, not the the classic point and click adventre. Sorry!

Oooooh I got all excited, then I found out it is indeed a casual game. But hey, thanks anyway! I appreciate it.

ON a related note-Big fish games has the agatha christie's and some older non casual adventure games for cheap. I joined the club and I got some of those Swedish Carol Reed adventures for $8.

That's a good question. I always looked forward to getting a new Agatha Christie game as a Christmas present, but it doesn't look that will happen this year.

Well, after more extensive research on all the gaming websites I can think of, I'll go ahead and claim that there will be no Agatha Christie adventure from TAC this Fall. Oh well, that's too bad. I'm certainly hoping the series will make a comeback next year.
Thanks everyone for the info provided. Last edited by Lunatik; 09-29-2008 at 09:04 PM. |
