S1 was factual. S2 was emotional. Together they made a great game.

I liked Syberia 1 much better. The places you visited were more interesting. The characters you met were more interesting. I didn't like the Youkol village at all, and the inhabitants had such annoying speech habits. And the business with the bad guys and the penguins was so silly and over the top.

Hello all. I must say, I just started the first Syberia, and the graphics blow me away. There's a depressing feel to the place that I absolutely love, but I just wanted to ask if the plot gets going more, or if we get to know other characters better. Story and character development/friendships are really important to me, and right now, I'm just kinda a little bored. I'm wondering if that goes away and gets better. I'm sorry for putting this here, and I'm just curious if I should give it another shot. Thanks.

Stick with it. You'll meet more characters.

I'd keep playing, Fantasysci5, and decide for yourself. Seriously, that's the best way.

Syberia I is a great game overall: I prefer this chapter, but I think it's best to consider the two a whole game; without the second chapter, the journey of Kate Walker doesn't mean anything: the journey is about discovery and self-awareness; it's also about social and economic issues in the present day - without Syberia II these themes fall hollow.

So, Fantasysci5, keep playing and play also Syberia II: the relationships that you care about will grow further and, in the end, I was touched and moved.
