2d adventure games
Hello adventurers im a new member here and i can see that this site covers
everything about a genre that can't be killed through the pass of time. Now for myself i loved adventure games from the very first beggining of lucas arts games like indiana jones series where the graphics were very low but the games were very addictive. The game that made me go crazy was the first broken sword and the reason is only one.Of course except from the beautifull hand drawn comic graphics was the reason that every move was shown in real time like for example when the protagonist wanted to pick up an object you could see him picking it up or when he was opening a door you could see the door open up.I hope you understand what i mean.So now can you suggest me games like these with the above details.Thank you very much and sorry for my english. |

I suggest you try some indie adventure games that try to stay close to the old school styles. Many of these are freewere. You can start here for example.
By the way, there are many fan made Indiana Jones games and there's also Broken Sword 2,5 with the graphics in style of the first two. |

As far as free games go, Beneath a Steel Sky is good, get it from the ScummVM site.

Check out Yahtzee's games that use the AGS engine.

We could create one right now then. The only problem is that we need a more specific title for the list. Practically all adventure games are 2d.
