UPDATED Christmas Quest 3 now available!
EDIT December 29th: At last the new and improved version is out! So download now if you haven't already. Heck, download it now if you HAVE already. This is no mere patch, after all, but there's never-before-seen content! It's "Special Edition", if you will.
-------------------------------------- Merry Christmas, adventure gamers. For the third year in a row, you can't complain that no one ever gives you games for Christmas. Do note the article disclaimer about being a less-than-optimum release. Despite the best efforts of many people working feverishly in crunch time of the busiest time of year, we still weren't able (also for the third year in a row) to get everything done that we wanted, or working just the way we'd planned. So we will release a new, improved version in the coming days. But there's still tons to play now, and nothing that's missing should impact your enjoyment at all, so don't let that stop you. For those who do play, PLEASE do not give away the secret of the Best Adventure Game Ever! (Not that I'm saying we reveal what it is, mind you.) We'd love to hear what you think of the game (mainly if it's GOOD, of course ), but please be respectful of those who haven't yet played it. We hope you enjoy the game, and have a happy holiday, everyone! |

Misslilo, there are enough clues that you should be able to piece it together easily enough. It's hard to say more without totally giving it away.
It definitely helps to have played the first two CQ's. Anyone who has should get it no problem. |

If you're looking for hints, it's probably best to have a separate thread for that in the Hints forum. Otherwise people here will probably see details they don't want to know yet.

FYI, we now have a Christmas Quest 3 Ultimate Hint Thread. I moved Tomi's and AGA's posts that were sitting in between Jackal's posts to that thread (just to put Jack's last post in context).
If you're looking for help with the game, head on over there. |

The game was really fun, only thing that seems a bit down is the character graphic design, seemed better last year, but than again the resolution is bigger so i doubt anyone would do the pixel art characters for this
And to Adventure Gamers staff: Thanks for the game, and Marry Christmas! |

Thanks, Tomi! Glad you liked it.
Remember to download the updated version later in the week to see what you missed. I hope everyone knows to right-click to look at everything (and again in inventory), plus try out your items on everything (including other inventory), even if you wouldn't normally. There's unique dialogue for darn near every possible interaction. Most people are almost guaranteed to miss half of what's there, at least, because there's way more to the game than just getting through the puzzles. Explore! (Not meant to imply anyone here is racing through. Just a precautionary reminder. ) |

I can't believe I'm stuck! Teehee!
Awesome job, especially considering the time pressure! --Erwin

I just downloaded it and finished it. I didn't like it as much as the last two games. First of all, the art style wasn't as good (what happened to the cute, round, Peanuts character parodies?), the game was way too easy (I even forgot the clues halfway through and I was able to figure everything out), and only the Elf was playable.
I did like some of the other touches (which I can't talk about without spoiling), so I guess the good outweighed the bad. |

Loved it. Thanks for giving us "the best adventure game EVER!!" All the hard work that was put into it shone through and the final result is spectacular. Job well done and a great way to pass some time between the presents and the turkey hehe.

Loved it as well as the first two! I think the concept in this one was really clever.

Yay! Another installment of my favourite adventure game saga is here! Thanks (and hats off) to everyone involved in the making (
As many are aware, I LOVE being stuck in your games. Which I am. Again. A belated Merry Christmas to all of you. |

This was the only thing that gave me christmas feel this year. Sad. Thanks.

It just wouldn't be Christmas Quest unless Martin got stuck at least once.
MadTricks, that is unfortunate, but I'm glad CQ was able to provide at least a small amount of that. You're probably not alone, either. Really that's the reason we worked so hard to get it done for the holiday. We're still working on an update, though, for those who are holding off. Quote:

Well that was a nice extra present after coming home after the holidays.
Well done and thanks for the funny diversion. Damn password though. I forgot all about the name from the last one and had already sealed the virus hole before doing the password bit. The only english word I could get was Nuptial and that was a tad obtuse. Anyway. Great little game guys and girls.
