Default Jack Or*lost*o.

So.. Jack Orlando; Directors Cut.
It just seems to me that the game gives you too much freedom, Freedom in an adventure game is good, but when you dont know what the hell you're supposed to be doing it's kinda hard to get on, I mean I got where I am by punching someone and getting knocked out til the night and he indicates you can do it better, obviously suggesting I shouldn't punch cus I only have "48 hours" to prove myself innocent.
Now Im trying to get to some mafia casino, and Im lost. I roughly know my way through the streets of their so-called downtown, but I've tried all dialogue options, and threatening options to no avail and now some guys getting his uncle on me. Soooo..

I'm looking for help, and also for anyone else opinion on the game.

Another game I thought failed with a plotline was The mystery of the druids. I never got far in that game cus I didnt have a CLUE how to progress the story and generally the way the game played was ... Awful.
So what are your thoughts on that? Tips to get over the bad quality movement, graphics and voice acting?

I don't remember much of this game...what I do remember though is that it's one of these games that have dead ends...maybe you've stumbled into one yourself? As for me, as soon as I realized I was in a dead end I simply uninstalled the game right away ...I have no tolerance for games with dead ends.

No, I didn't say you could die. By dead end I mean that it's possible to reach a point in the game where you cannot progress anymore because you didn't pick up an object or did something earlier in the game and the only thing you can do is to restore to an previous saved game...if you have one.

I struggled with Mystery of the Druids for about half an hour before deciding it wasn't worth wasting time over, and found a walkthrough.

And blow me, the case file referred to in the game is supposed to be included as a real-life printed file with the game. And you're supposed to read it to get some idea of what's going on. And it's not included with the budget re-issue, not even as a PDF document. So basically if you're playing the budget version of Mystery of the Druids, you're screwed if you don't do some internet research and find this out, and get hold of a copy somewhere.

I think I've decided to just not play it, and I started mystery of the druids and just uninstalled it, lol

i don't know where you got stuck but i played both Jack Orlando and the mystery of the druids, and i liked both of them... well... MOTD is better

I didn't know you can come to a dead end in jack orlando, but there's one thing
i didn't like about the game, and that was the fact you could almost pick everything up... so at the end of the game you have your full coat of different stuff and you wonder is there a way to use them...

Yes, you can come to an end in Jack Orlando. Both JO and MOTD are poor -very bad, IMO, but hey, Jack has nice graphics. I'd recommend a walkthrough to enjoy it.

I find the graphics.. a little cartoony and the animation looks like that of a flapper paper doll. But hey thats my opinion. And I struggled to even start MOTD, how you finished it is a mystery to me (oh the irony)
I adore Moment of silence though and had been meaning to get that instead of MOTD at that point in time but the shop had sold out or something and I knew they were by the same company, what made it even more tedious was that theres a demo of MOS on MOTD, and as soon as I played it I was like "I got the wrong one.." and I was pissed off for about a week. xD
