news about Microids
Has anyone noticed this?
http://www.adventuregamers.com/newsitem.php?id=1459 Interesting. I hope the company will start producing games again. Don't tell me they will end up being a publisher.

That's all they can be with no development studio of their own, so I wouldn't look for them to be announcing their own titles any time soon. Could happen, but that's a much bigger financial commitment.
Still, another reputable publisher for the North American market is pretty huge news in itself. I believe they'll be publishing two other games this year, as well, though I'm not sure that's been officially announced. |

Shame to see Microids (Canada) go. They were the one company that I really enjoyed, playing their games. I've played DF: TLJ, Myst, Indigo Prophecy... But Microids games just stood out the pack.

Microids's website is on again. Does anyone know that? It looks really nice. I didn't know that Microids is the publisher of Sinking Island.

Yes! This is really good news. If some of the published games sells well they might be able to afford a development studio. Think about a sequel to Still Life!

That would be great, but I think they will only license titles from European developers, and that is good too, because American distributors can reach global audience.
