What is it with TAC anyway? They managed to lose the Nancy Drew series and I can see where they might be losing this to, Are they that difficult to work with?

Technically TAC is only the U.S. and possibly the Europe publisher... who's gonna publish it in Australia.

14.) When will we find out more about Project Jane-J?:
The Adventure Company plans to release more information about the game in the second half of the year, according to a response to an e-mail that was sent to The Adventure Company. The e-mail also confirmed that Project Jane-J was still in a relatively early stage of development. Last edited by SerialFreak; 03-16-2004 at 04:03 PM. |

It's definately not GK4. All the information that's been released can be pretty much used to back that up. Sierra still has the rights for the Gabriel Knight series. In 2002 she pitched the fourth game to them and they weren't interested.

I have a feeling this game will have a very big TLJ feel to it, which is a good thing, don't get me wrong. I hope she won't draw tooo much inspiration from the Matrix and the X-files, not that I dislike the shows, though. I admire their aspiration to make it a 'classic-style' adventure game, or well, 2d backdrops and 3d characters. And although it's too bad it's not a continueation of the GK series, I think this decision is for the best. (In a weird comparison I like to contemplate, the fourth part of MI, EMI, didn't work out all that great either) It would be very hard to make GK4 both original, modern and appealing to today's audience at the same time. Very nice FAQ serialfreak!

It could happen, I doubt it though. I get the impression that the two games are pretty much set in different worlds. I think the paranormal stuff in Project Jane-J is suppose to be more science based then the stuff in the GK series. But I guess GK didn't believe in that stuff or know it existed before investigating the voodoo murders. Even if the two series were set in the same place I'm not sure that Jane Jensen would put in a cameo for the sake of putting in a cameo.
jjacob: I think Jane Jensen said in The Inventory interview that the first game in the series would have a Frankenstein feel to it. I think a GK4 would be awesome, but GK3 also gives closure to the series as well. Project Jane-J is the next best thing. I like the atmosphere of The X-Files so if the game has a similar feel it will be awesome. I can't wait to learn more about this game at E3. I'll update the Unofficial FAQ with more details when they're released. Last edited by SerialFreak; 04-26-2004 at 03:14 PM. |

I like how ODE's website states
"Odyssey Digital Entertainment is a leading provider of quality games for casual online gamers and the general mainstream audience" though they haven't completed a single game yet. |

AHA! Now I understand! Theresa isn't a nurse, she's actually JJ's alias, and living with a very uncanny sort of guy! Good work, BJ, and over two months before it was announced!
