While the box design isn't very good in itself, does anybody else really loathe the new "cool" Broken Sword font?

I don't mind it. They used it on the European box for The Sleeping Dragon, though, so it's hardly new.

Not quite the final European box art

I actually find the Angel of Death box far more interesting than BS3's.

Well, I could argue that keeping the same box formula makes sense given that it's the same series of games.

Of course, that ignores the fact that it's a fairly generic style...

Well, I know that, but I meant new as in "not BS1 and 2".

Looks average, could use some more originality.

Now this is what I call a GOOD BS3 cover - too bad the EU version is crappy:

The BS4:AOD cover must be somewhat similar to this format, not like that crappy BS3 EU version!!

I love the signature. I like the colour yellow; it's an original choice. And Nico looks like she'll be actually pretty for the first time in the series.

Otherwise, it's pretty "meh", but an improvement on all the BS3 covers which implied the game was a weak Tomb Raider clone.

Hmm.. i like it. But Lacey is right, it makes the game look like it belongs to "acton" genre. I liked the covers of the first two games, but BS3's Eu cover simply sucks.
Oh, and i don't like the BS4 box either. Hope i like the game.

It's the later version of the US box.

Now if you want bad cover art, check out the earlier version of the US box...

I prefer the EU cover art. I think it looks more sophisticated than the US one, which to me looks gaudy and tacky.

The marching George and Nico reminds me of some Nazi or Fascist propaganda poster I remember seeing, about ‘marching towards the countries future’ or something like that…

I once bought a game called "Circle of Blood" which came in a pretty uninspired box with a "stain glass" gargoyle on it. It turned out to be a pretty amazing game (never liked Nico's accent though, but then I was playing it with a French guy leaning over my shoulder, complaining every time she opened her mouth).

I really don't know what all this fuss around box art is. I like good box art as much as any of you, but I must admit, even some big budged games have pretty uninspired art, much worse than this one.

Besides, box art for Broken Sword 2 : Smoking Mirror was ugly as hell. It seems it never was stronger part of the series.

Yeah, I agree.

(European versions)

I honestly don`t think these are any better than 3 and 4. But hey, they are great games, nonetheless.
