Which game should I play next?!
I've just finished Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, and I'm totally hooked the adventure games once again.
Now I'm about to start a new game, and I would like your advice which game it should be. Next of me I have: - Syberia I & II - Beyond Good & Evil - Myst III: Exile - Gabriel Knight 3 - Grim Fandango - The Neverhood - Toonstruck - The Curse of Monkey Island That's about it, tell me! Which one should I play next? Last edited by outlandos; 07-14-2006 at 04:50 AM. |

I'm currently playing Grim Fandango. It has great puzzles, quite difficult at times. The environments (at least so far) are in a league of its own. I'm so far in year two and the colours and looks of the buildings and the art deco interiors just makes me admire each scene.
I also just love the way Manny's head nods at each hotpot. (Compared to for instance B.S III where each hot spot had a shiny star, this is subtle and elegante) The game includes a lot of great humorous lines. My favourite so far: Le Keg is le empty so toot sweet Buster (Glottis wanting more wine) Give G.F a go!

Anything that's not Syberia. Curse of Monkey Island is probably the most accessible of that list, and along with Grim Fandango, most universally highly regarded. Beyond Good and Evil's fun, with a great visual style, even if it's not really in the adventure genre (at least not the one which doesn't include Zelda.)

Even though Beyond Good and Evil is`nt an adventure game, I would go for that one. Then the Syberia games.

Yeah. They're all excellent anyway, with Toonstruck perhaps a bit behind the others, so you'll need to play them all.

Start with Beyond Good & Evil, then play Grim Fandango and Curse of MI.
GK3 is also an excellent game, the last of the good Sierra titles.

Little Advice
Start With Myst Iii Exile (this Is The Game That I'm Searching For... Yet!!!) Then Continue With Myst Uru Ages Beyond Myst (including The 2 Expansion Packs:to D'ni And The Path Of The Shell), Then Myst Iv Revelation, And Finally The Last Part Of This Serial Myst V End Of Ages. After This Try Echo: Secrets Of The Lost Cavern (don't Buy Pirate Version, Beelieve Me I Did And It Seems I'll Never Be Able To Fonosh The Game). Also I Think You'll Like Prisoner Of War.
